With 2019 election results, the equations in Maharashtra politics are going to change and many BJP eminent are eager to see these new equations in the history of Maharashtra. One of the most intense and discussed constituencies for 2019 Lok Sabha elections include Baramati constituency. Revenue and Agriculture Minister of Maharashtra State, Hon. Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil is playing an important role in the public meetings at Baramati constituency. On this occasion, Zee 24 Taasconducted an interview with Mr. Dada Patil and this is our detailed report on the interview.

Why BJP is focussing more on Baramati?

Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil explained that Baramati has been associated with a particular since family last several years and comparatively NCP could achieve partial development in the Baramati constituency. Many other areas in the constituency are facing issues or specifically Bhor MIDC and unemployment for the youth are the serious concerns there. Also, the success of the BJP in the Baramati constituency is not a simple thing, it will require hard work. Therefore, the BJP has to focus more on Baramati constituency. He also added that the things are triggered from 2014 elections itself. In the last elections, Mr. Mahadev Jankar was defeated by MP Mrs. Supriya Tai Sule by the vote difference of 76000 votes and it was totally surprising. Mr. Jankar was a new face for the Baramati constituency and still, he could achieve such a great result. Therefore, in 2019 elections with BJP symbol, we are expecting new equations in the election results.

A new strategy for Baramati constituency

Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil explained that Baramati constituency consists of the Khadakwasla area from Pune and we can get the benefit, if we can increase the vote count from Khadakwasla region and reduce the same for Supriya Tai Sule from Baramati area, we will be able to see new equations.

Development of Baramati and Contribution of Pawar Family

While answering the tricky questions of Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Arun Jaitley’s visit and appreciation for Baramati development, Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil replied that leaders of the BJP always appreciate the good things from opponents as well. We never deny about Baramati development and the contribution of NCP for the same. But the fact is that only partial development has been achieved by NCP and that through the contribution of Mr. Aappasaheb Pawar and much more work is pending, including drought situation and other problems in the constituency. Also, in a democratic system why only one family should have a monopoly in politics?

When Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil was asked about his change in nature and attacking behaviour, especially on the Pawar family, he replied that in politics, leaders need to play diverse roles and I am assigned the attacking role now for victory in Baramati constituency. Also, in an amusing way, he added that I can’t attack Raj Thackery, Harshwardhan Patil, etc. in this way. As their context in the upcoming election is irrelevant or they are my friends. But, Mr. Sharad Pawar is respectable and my friend too. I just need to take attacking behaviour for ending the monopoly of a single family in the politics and to defeat the dirty politics they played in the history of Maharashtra. He also added that Mr. Ajit Pawar visited Mr. Harshavardhan Patil’s home. He needed to take this step because NCP always tried to trouble Mr. Harshvardhan Patil in the past and now it’s his time to convince.

Thoughts on Dhangar Community Reservation

Mr. Dada Patil appealed that the current government is successful in solving the Dhangar Reservation issue. Till the court results are out, Dhangarcommunity will get all the benefits of tribal communities such as hostels, tuition fees, etc. and also the process of renaming Solapur University as Ahilyabai Holkar University is finalised, therefore, Dhangar community will support BJP in the election.

The overall picture of elections and results

According to Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil, it is crystal clear that in western Maharashtra, all 10 seats will be occupied by BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. He also showed sympathy for Mr. Parth Pawar, for his future failure in the upcoming elections. On the country level, he is expecting that 375 seats will be occupied by BJP and friend parties. Therefore, Hon. Mr. Narendra Modi is going to be PM again.

BJP and Future

To justify BJP against different criticizing issues such as entry of other party members, violence in the public meetings, etc. Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil replied that sometimes it happens, but the entry of such members in the party will not destroy the original principles and ethics of the BJP. He also replied that violence cases will be taken seriously by the party. On the other hand, renowned politicians are also joining the party for a better future, principles, and opportunities to work for society.
