Chandrakant Dada Patil On Water Supply Work Tenders Extended Up to 15th June
To overcome the severe drought situation in Maharashtra state, Agriculture and Revenue Minister of Maharashtra Honourable Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil is implementing different plans and remedies. Recently he informed that under Drought Relief Program, drinking water supply issues will be on top-priority and for this purpose, the tender process can be extended up to 15th June.
Revenue and Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil informed that as per the instruction of Hon. Chief Minister, all Guardian Ministers have conducted the review of their districts to understand the drought situation in the district and the remedies to be undertaken in the drought-affected area. As per the Drought Relief Programme, drinking water supply is on the top priority and to promote this work on a greater extent it can be extended up to 15 June. Revenue Minister informed this decision in a press conference organized after the meeting of a drought-related subcommittee meeting. In this meeting, Finance Minister Mr. Sudhir Mungantiwar, Water Resource Minister Mr. Girish Mahajan and Animal Husbandry Minister Mr. Mahadev Jankar were present.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil also informed that if required we will prefer the use of the railway for the water supply at drought-affected areas. He also informed Mhaswad village under Satara district, Man Taluka is given with the permission of fodder camp with 10,000 capacity of cattle. This is a special case because as per the rule, we cannot give permission to the camp with more than 3000 cattle capacity. To fight against drought condition, this permission is granted. He further added that we are implementing a computer system and app for the daily attendance of cattle in fodder camps, where cattle are identified using a barcode tag.
Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil also informed that we will help and guide farmers for their agriculture-related decisions too. Banks are also offering loans for initial costs associated with harvesting and other tasks.
Different initiatives and steps taken by Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil to overcome the drought situation in the state are useful to defeat the drought challenge. Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadanvis is actively working to fight the drought condition and he is claiming that we are well-prepared to face this situation. Meanwhile, NCP and Congress parties are trying to misuse this situation for political purpose. Farmers are expecting more help and guidance from the government in this tough situation and hopefully, in the near future, the government will come out with a sound solution for this drought condition. #chandrakantdada #politics
