For the 2019 election campaign, the last public meeting was organized in western Maharashtra zone at Vita, District- Sangli. The meeting was attended by the BJP eminent such as Revenue Minister Honourable Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil and Minister at center Honourable Mr. Nitin Gadkari. They both explained different schemes and plans launched by the BJP government for the betterment of people. This is a detailed report on the Vita public meeting.
Honorable Chandrakant Dada Patil talked on beneficial decisions of the BJP Government taken in favor of the masses. He said that if we conduct the survey of 500 houses at villages we will notice at least 300 houses are benefited due to different schemes and plans launched by the BJP Government. These benefits can be in the form of interest-free home loans, gas connections, electricity connection, toilet availability, etc. At least you will notice several families which are benefited due to recently launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Due to this scheme, you can get the benefit for treatment and medicine expenses of worth Rupees 5 lakhs per year.
Revenue Minister further added that another outstanding achievement of this government comes in the form of Maratha community reservation. The demand for Maratha Community Reservation was pending since 1968. Our government achieved 16% sustainable Maratha community reservation in services and education. Our government also contributed to the Dhangar community reservation process. This government supported the request of Dhangar community reservation by the report given by TISS. The way is clear for Dhangar community reservation now and until the court result comes, Dhangar Community students will get the same benefits as that of the tribal community. Maharashtra government also submitted the affidavit to declare that Dhangad community does not exist in Maharashtra. Also, Solapur University is renamed as Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar University. The third historical decision of Modi Government is related to the reservation on a financial basis. Families with annual income lesser than 8 Lakhs will get the benefit of 10% reservation on financial criteria.
Central Minister Honourable Mr. Nitin Gadkari commendably expressed his thoughts in the meeting. He began his speech by saying that it gives me immense pleasure when I saw the canal flowing with water in the city. Deficiency of water and no management of water are the most severe problems associated with our country. Now the irrigation projects in the state are in progress and we are able to figure out an apt solution for this water deficiency problem in the country. He further added that when the BJP Government was established in the state, Honourable Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis asked me for pending irrigation projects in the state. I was water resources minister for the country and we could allocate the funds of 20,000 crores for 26 irrigation projects in the Maharashtra state, out of which 7 projects are there in western Maharashtra. For this, 25% amount is raised by the Central Government and 75% is raised through NABARD loan. In Sangli district, many irrigation projects are in progress under Pradhan Mantri Sinchan Yojana. I had taken one decision with the Water Resources Department that instead of canal projects, now we will opt for pipeline systems and many farmers will get the benefit of this new system. Our different irrigation projects will benefit the farmers of Sangli, Solapur, and Kolhapur district farmers.
Honorable Central Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari also spoke on the contribution of the government for an effective transportation system. He informed that for Sangli district transportation development, 7500 crore rupees have been released. He further added that I have contributed to the transportation system in the country with 17 lakh crore rupees fund allocation through my department. Better transportation facilities are not only availed in Sangli district, but the work is in progress throughout the country. We have an ambitious project named Buddha Circuit, where we have connected all the significant locations of Lord Gautama Buddha from Bihar, Uttar -Pradesh through better transport facility. It is the huge project with the cost of Rs 10000 crore and recently 2 Bhikkhus from Sarnath acknowledged that more than 70% of the project work is finished and worldwide Buddhist people can visit now important Buddha locations with ease and comfort. Central Transport Minister Honourable Mr. Nitin Gadkari further said that we have also another project named Ram-Janki circuit which is connecting important locations of Prabhu Shri Ram and Sita. He further added that Badrinath, Kedarnath routes are restructured by consulting worldwide engineers and the route is safe now. Also from the next year, for visiting Manas Sarovar, we need not go to China or Nepal; we have developed our own route for Mansarovar from Uttarakhand. We have also a big venture in next tenure for Maharashtra state in the form of ‘Palakhi Maha-Marg’. Through this project, we are taking care of devotees by lawn route on the Palakhi Maha-Marg and it will add to the convenience of barefoot devotees (Varkari). All major important pilgrimages of Maharashtra state are connected by 4 Lane routes.
Honorable Mr. Nitin Gadkari also explained the Ganga Purification project. The Water Resources department has contributed with 30000 crores cost projects for ‘Namami Gange’ and purification project for Ganga River. He also elaborated the benefits of different River Inter-Links projects in India.
Effective speeches and presence of Central and state ministers in the Vita Public Meeting help to gain the maximum public and media attraction to this meeting. This grand public meeting clarified the agenda of BJP for the next tenure and it also demonstrated the strength of the BJP. #chandradada #chandrapolitics.
