Chandrakant Dada Patil, the Agricultural and Revenue Minister of Maharashtra is handling this department successfully with numerous striking decisions which are impactful for the revenue generation and betterment of the citizens of the state. One of the eminent and down to earth personality from Maharashtra cabinet, Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil is basically from Kolhapur, a southern city in Maharashtra state, identified with his connection to farmers and agriculture sector. Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil distinguishes himself at a completely different level than their counterparts and this makes him very much adored politician among the common man and farmers. He works under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis and they both have made a great team. Maharashtra government took the strategic decision of loan waiver for farmers after going through all the concerns and aspects thoroughly. And it was finalized that waiver is offered to a farmer with less than 5 acres of land. The decision was announced by the Chief Minister and it was supported by Revenue Minister Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil. Due to this decision, the state government is going to face overhead or pressure of Rs 30000 Crore, but the decision was taken to respect the distressed farmers who needed help. The current BJP government is concerned about them and that is why the decision was taken and implemented successfully. If we go through the work analysis of the previous government, we will hardly find any such record in favor of farmers.

Implementation of this decision was necessary since 2017 because the drought condition was worst in Maharashtra back then. The financial condition of farmers was critical with no financial management and it was impossible for them to pay the interest on the loan and capital to the financial institutes. This frustrating situation also leads to suicidal attempts of the farmers. To overcome this grim situation, the decision of loan waiver was like a breeze to the Maharashtrian farmers. Farmers are happy and supporting Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil for his right positive approach and genuine thinking about them.

One more reason for the popularity and respectful image of Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil is his efforts along with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the Maratha caste reservation. Being the Maratha caste himself, he was always expected by the counterparts and the common public, to work for resolving the issues for the Maratha reservation process. This process work was very difficult to handle and implement due to judicial matters. But Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and his team successfully coordinated on this matter and could get the result of 16% reservation for the Maratha community. Though the process is in court for further implementation, Maratha people will never forget the contribution of Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil for this Maratha reservation. Maratha caste reservation result will be one of the outstanding achievements or milestones for the current government. It was the most impactful work done by the cabinet which was never attempted by any of the previous governments.

Being Revenue Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has also worked successfully for bringing the maximum values to the farmers for their produces and crops, mainly for onion crop. The disputes among the committee and the farmers had led to a deadlock situation. But the committee under Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil’s guidance handled and resolved this deadlock situation successfully. Being the Revenue Minister, he showed his skills to handle this critical and complicated matter.

Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil’s work as Agricultural and Revenue Minister is always appreciated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis. Destructive forces among society and opponents are trying to use divide and conquer strategy between the two, due to the casteism factor. Actually, they both are working as a single team and together they are working for common objectives and goals. He is a down to earth person who never shies away from his duties, is it towards his state people or towards the nation. He is always loved by all the communities of Maharashtra and he will retain the same feelings in the future.
